O2 ARENA — Anthony Joshua can take his first steps towards redemption tonight against Jermaine Franklin.
First, Germany’s Peter Kadiru moved to 15-1 with a thunderous start against Alen Lauriolle, who retired on his stool at the end of the first round.
Benoit Huber beat Juergen Uldedaj in the first major upset of the night, coming out on top by 77-75.
Jordan Flynn maintained his unbeaten record in an equally competitive showing in an eight-rounder with Kane Barker, also finishing 77-75 on the referee’s scorecard.
There have been a number of tweaks to the card, with Felix Cash pulling out through illness and Craig Richards withdrawing with a hand injury ahead of his fight with Ricards Bolotniks.
Galal Yafai has been drafted in to bolster the card, with the Tokyo gold medallist fighting Moises Calleros.
