Vodafone customers have encountered difficulties accessing the internet this morning.

Thousands of reports have been logged on DownDetector, a website that records outages.

The issues appear to have begun at around 8am, affecting locations throughout the country.

Here’s what you need to know.

Is Vodafone down today?

According to DownDetector, Vodafone customers began having difficulties with their internet connection shortly after 8am.

Vodafone has acknowledged the issues, with a spokesperson writing on Twitter: “We’re aware of and investigating an issue impacting some of our home broadband customers since this morning.

“Getting our customers reconnected is now our top priority, and we’re incredibly sorry for any inconvenience this is causing.”

Downdetector reported a peak of 2,820 people experiencing problems on the network at 9.26am.

The issue comes after Virgin Media experienced problems last week with Downdetector receiving 55,000 reports of internet disruption last Tuesday.

One user posted on Twitter: “VodafoneUK please acknowledge that your home broadband is down and give us an idea when you plan to get it up and running again.

“Stop all this diagnostic rubbish.

“It’s your end not ours.”

Vodafone responded by posting: “We’re currently investigating the broadband connection queries, our dedicated teams are working to get everything restored as quickly as possible.”
