The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) has dismissed its director-general following an investigation into workplace misconduct.
Tony Danker will leave the CBI with immediate effect and be replaced by Rain Newton-Smith.
It follows an investigation into Mr Danker’s conduct with a female employee.
Mr Danker has previously apologised for his behaviour and said any offence caused was unintentional.
Three other CBI employees have been suspended pending further investigation.
