NHS Providers has warned that hospital bosses are “worried about secured adequate cover for the night shifts ahead. This is going to be a very long, difficult week for the NHS.”
The British Medical Association (BMA) says that junior doctor pay has lost 26 per cent of its value in real terms since 2008, meaning that they would need a 35 per cent salary increase to achieve pay restoration.
