Britain’s Got Talent is almost over, and this week fans are being treated to everything from dance to magic to singing in the live semi-finals.
The new series started on ITV1 and STV on Saturday 15 April, and we are now down to the best of the best.
Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli was confirmed as David Walliams’ replacement in January. Walliams left after controversy erupted regarding leaked disparaging comments made by Walliams to contestants.
The Italian choreographer and dancer joined his new co-stars at the first judges’ audition of the new series at the London Palladium earlier this year.
When is the final?
The finalists will face off in the grand finale on Sunday 4 June.
They will win a place on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance and a big cash prize.
Who went through to the final last night?
It was an eventful semi-final as long-time host Ant McPartlin took a tumble at the start. The presenter, along with Declan Donnelly, joined Diversity to perform a dance but fell on live TV.
A tweet from the official BGT account confirmed though: “Don’t worry, Ant’s fine!” before Ant told viewers he was OK but joked he had “wet himself” during the incident.
Appearing in the show were comedian Ichikawa, singer Gamal John, dance group United 2 Dance, illusionist Enzo Weyne, the Parkour Collective, dancer Musa Motha, comedy musician Abi Carter-Simpson and singer Amy Lou.
But, of course, not everyone can go through.
Musa was the winner after wowing with his dancing and was the first to go through. Then the judges made their choice, with Bruno Tonioli and Amanda Holden choosing Amy Lou, and Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell opting for Abi.
It went to the public vote, which sent Amy Lou through to the final.
This year’s Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals continue all this week on ITV1 and ITVX.
